Unless two people concede (all but one), then you can carry on playing...Tube Geek wrote:I concede
I have to say, that in these circumstances, of a player pulling out, that rule doesn't work, ad it was supposed to stop stalemates not mean that one player can void the game when they are hopelessly behind!GuyBarry wrote:We can't carry on playing for long, because the rules state that three players have to make valid claims within a 24-hour period. Unless a third player joins in before 20:31:55 tonight (the time of TG's last claim) then the game will be declared void.
I agree, but there doesn't seem to be any way round this situation. At the moment you're 271 ahead. If TG pulls out, my only chance of winning is to make a successful claim of 272 points or more - otherwise you can just sit on your lead until the end of the game. This is what happened previously (in reverse).A Challenge wrote:I have to say, that in these circumstances, of a player pulling out, that rule doesn't work, ad it was supposed to stop stalemates not mean that one player can void the game when they are hopelessly behind!GuyBarry wrote:We can't carry on playing for long, because the rules state that three players have to make valid claims within a 24-hour period. The only problem is it will void at that time, meaning nobody wins!GuyBarry wrote:I agree, but there doesn't seem to be any way round this situation. At the moment you're 271 ahead. TG is being a little unsportsmanlike, I think.
These rules do need some fine tuning, and there isn't an obvious answer that always will work! Anyway, thank you for conceding. Is there a chance of a final scores?Tube Geek wrote:Back to Grumbleweed once more???
If you didn't keep pulling out of games this problem wouldn't arise! I suggested at the end of game XIII that you might want to review your strategy, but you ignored my comments. You keep making 360-point claims that are unlikely to succeed. Try making a larger number of smaller claims, or claiming 360 points at a time that's going to surprise your opponents.Tube Geek wrote:Back to Grumbleweed once more???
