I posted these (and other) questions on another forum once and it turned into an exercise to find a question you couldn't google. All of these should be googlable though.

Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Elliott Gould I knew straightaway. Had to use IMDb to get Julia Roberts, didn't realise she'd been in Friends.

jamesthegill : Correct - you score 1 point
DavidC : Correct, finally - you score 1 point
greatkingrat : Correct - you score 1 point

Prince Albert of Monaco competed in the Bobsleigh 5 times. His wife, Charlene Wittstock was a swimmer for South Africa. Princess Grace's father, Jack Kelly Sr., was a three time gold medallist in rowing. Grace's brother, Jack Kelly Jr., was also a rowing medallist.

So, 5 questions left.

3. Only three films have ever won 11 Oscars. Which actor appeared in two of the three?

5. It's now in the Smithsonian Air And Space Museum in Washington DC, but where was the Wright Brothers' first airplane displayed during World War 2?

6. In 1967, Canada celebrated it's centennial and one baby born on the centennial day, 1 July, from each province was named as a "Centennial Baby". Which celebrity was the "Centennial Baby" of British Columbia?

5) Corsham, I think.

Corsham, is correct. The context is...

The Wright Flyer was loaned to the Science Museum in London until 1948, but during the war for safety it was stored in the underground quarry at Corsham in Wiltshire.

It's an interesting story... The Wright brothers were in dispute with the Smithsonian Institution. The Smithsonian gave preference to the "Aerodrome" built by their former secretary, Samuel P. Langley, which made two failed flight attempts before the Wright brothers, in October 1903. The Aerodrome was significantly modified before it successfully flew in 1914. The Smithsonian displayed the Aerodrome as the first airplane "capable" of manned flight. Orville Wright donated their plane to London's Science Museum in 1928. In 1942, the Smithsonian admitted the modifications to the Aerodrome and Orville requested the Flyer be returned to the USA. Because of the war, it was not returned until after Orville's death in 1948.

Before its return a replica was made of the Wright Flyer, which is still on display in the Science Museum. There are conspiracy theories that the replica was returned and we still have the original.

A requirement of the bequest is that the Smithsonian maintain absolute credit as the first manned airplane to the Wright Flyer. This does not allow them to research other claims, such as that of Gustave Whitehead who may have successfully flown in Connecticut in 1901.
