Sorry, not good enough. The "B" and "F" answers are OK, which means that only "C", "G" and "J" are left.scrxisi wrote:10: What "J" is the name of a company that my grandfather worked for?

Re: Reverse quiz
(7) is right and (10) is nearly right. The question I had in mind was "who were the original manufacturers of the J Cloth?" (I don't think they make them any more.) Alternatively it could have been "where does the name 'J Cloth' come from?"
That went pretty well. Does anyone want to have a go at setting another one? The questions don't necessarily have to run in sequence, but there should be a theme connecting them all that isn't obvious from the answers.

Re: Reverse quiz
No takers so far so here's another one. Only seven answers this time:
(1) Moscow
(2) 1689
(3) "Fly Fishing" by J.R. Hartley
(4) The football results
(5) Since 1958
(6) Duke Ellington (again!)
(7) Ena Sharples
As before, you need to find the hidden theme running through the associated questions and then the questions themselves. Please post all suggestions in the thread.

Re: Reverse quiz
Possibly - I have an idea for one. But I'm going to be away for most of the rest of this week, so won't have time for a while. If anyone else would like to construct one in the meantime, please go ahead.GuyBarry wrote:

(7) Who was the star of the 1990 French film Uranus?
(8) What weapon is associated with the Roman god Neptune?

Maybe in future it would be best not to list questions in their "natural" order.
Bang on with all of them in ridiculously good time!

Re: Reverse quiz
A couple of them jumped straight out:
3) Who wrote The Hunt for Red October
4) Which character did June Whitfield play in Absolutely Fabulous?
For question 1 surely there are thousands of "correct" answers as a lot happened in each month.
For Instance:
Edward VIII became king in January of which year?
George VI became king in December of which year?
