Reverse quiz

Post by GuyBarry »

As promised: a quiz with a difference. Here are the answers. What are the questions?

(1) Duke Ellington
(2) Near the City of Manchester Stadium
(3) Dennis Ritchie
(4) It connects the M6 with Stoke on Trent
(5) Bruce Springsteen
(6) Audrey Eyton
(7) FBI agents
(8) Ian Watkins
(9) 26 October 2010, costing 20p
(10) Johnson and Johnson

The questions are not random - there is a theme you have to guess. This is a team effort, so you can all pitch in with suggestions in the thread.

I have a feeling the theme could be Tube-related; I've ideas for one or two of the questions.

Not Tube-related, though it's a neat idea. Post your ideas for the questions and I'll tell you how close you are.

(2) and (3) have a link - Alan Turing Way runs past the City of Manchester stadium, and Dennis Ritchie won a Turing award.
Holder of the slowest recorded 274 attempt: 4 months, 1 day, 9 hours, 17 minutes, 32 seconds.

Nice idea but remember you're looking for a link between the questions rather than the answers. Perhaps I should add that the questions run in sequence.

That's right! Now all you have to do is fill in the eight remaining questions.

Ian Watkins was the pedophile found in the band Lostprophets, but more importantly Ian 'H' Watkins is the gay, Welsh singer found in Steps. When the story about the former broke out I was very confused until I realised there were two musicians with the same name!

Although officially called the A500, the question to number 4 is 'what is the D road?'

I like the concept for this quiz, I always liked watching Jeopardy!
Held some Alternative Challenge records for a long time.
Doesn't any more.

All correct so far - five to go. Although I might penalize tractakid for not giving his answer in the form of a question
