Tubeblock

Can you identify a station from just a paving slab? Sadly, some people can

So they're two separate stations, but they're one station when you're sitting on a line which runs through one of them?

No, they are completely and unequivocally two separate stations.

What station would you have tried to move to next?

Well, assuming I could pass through Paddington (Circle), I could have gone to NHG, Hammersmith, Earl's Court, etc.

You can't pass through Paddington (Circle) - it's the same station as Paddington (Bakerloo), which is blocked.

There's one station at Paddington which is "old" Circle/District/Bakerloo, and another which is "new" Circle/Hammersmith and City. You can't pass through the first because it's blocked. You can pass through the second, but there are no stations beyond it at which you can legally change to another line.

Hang on ... I can pass through the H&C station at Paddington, yes? And you're at Regents Park?

Er, somewhere that isn't on the Bakerloo line?

Am I missing some kind of rule change here, that I haven't realised about?

I haven't changed any rules. You're required to move to a station to which there is no direct service from Edgware Road.

Once you get past Paddington (H&C), there are no stations at which you can legally change to another line. There are walking interchanges at White City/Wood Lane and at Hammersmith, but those are specifically forbidden by the rules. So there's no station that you can legally move to.

So, we can now add Edgware Road to Stratford as two stations that moving to will end the game.

Not necessarily. I had to be in a position to move to a station on the Bakerloo line. I might have already been on the Bakerloo line.

I think that's a win.

Yes, it is. I chose badly on my first move - I was forced to either Farringdon or Barbican for my second, which are "suicide stations". (So is Angel normally, but I thought I could get away with it this time.) Well played!

New game?
