A "reprimand" is not a "penalty", as he does not suffer any negative action because of it.

So no, that doesn't count.

Just to be clear on what I mean by Grosjean "taking someone out", I am referring to a collision between him and another driver, resulting in the retirement of the other driver. So a hefty whack or something like that.

Simply bumping around with someone isn't enough to count as "taking someone out". I know this is a bit subjective on my part, but if I consider Grosjean to have "taken someone out" then I will count that.

He's been quite good so far this year. I mean Vettel and Rosberg have been running people out wide all over the shop this year. They're more likely to take someone out at their present rates.

Wrote this on the Points of View website earlier re BBC coverage for Canada:
Which idiot did the scheduling for the Canadian Grand Prix practice? For the live races, we were promised that practice would be live and uninterrupted on BBC Two. Only half of practice one was shown on BBC Two before disappearing to the Red Button, and practice two was shown on BBC Three, electing not to show us the first five minutes owing to unnecessary continuity. Sort it out.

Ben Edwards was his usual self in FP1: "Gutiérrez sets a lap... no, he doesn't, erm..., yes, he does. Erm... no, he doesn't."

James Allen was OK, but nowhere near Sky Sports' commentary. If Rosberg were to overtake five cars then somersault over a fence, he would still be more engrossed in a discussion about tyres with Gary Anderson (who is also useless).
And... Lee McKenzie said that Lotus have 'fixed the problem which caused Grosjean to crash into Ricciardo in Monaco'.

Well Grosjean is still in the car, so I don't see how they've fixed the problem ...

As Ben Edwards puts it, 'we've got four exploding tyres this afternoon'.

The BBC's explanation: The inside of the kerb at turn five is unsafe, as the drivers are rubbing the inside shoulder of their tyres on the edge of the kerb. As turn five is a fast right-hand corner, the tyres are effectively squeezing themselves on a bump. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/23118588)

Sky's explanation: The drivers never went massively over the kerb. Indeed, Charlie Whiting made his usual track inspection. Nothing has changed since 2012 apart from a few new drains (to improve drainage). The only driver who had a delamination immediately after the kerb was Hamilton. Massa's tyres delaminated before turn five. In addition, the steel band shown after tyre delaminations at Malaysia (Hamilton), Bahrain (Massa, Hamilton), and Spain (di Resta, Vergne) was missing. They must have changed the tyres. (http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/s ... e-failures) (http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/s ... e-problems).

Thank goodness Coulthard saved the viewers this afternoon. Ben Edwards was on a parallel with Jonathan Legard, at his very worst. Sky have, however, quashed Gary Anderson's theory of the tyre failures.

Drivers have been driving over kerbs for years. This is clearly a tyre-composition problem. Pirelli need to sort this out.

For anyone who does have Sky, did they have the same graphics problem as the BBC?

Let me explain:

FOM offer two graphics packages. One of them, taken by the BBC and Sky, covers the 16:9 screen. The other (formerly taken by the BBC) covers only the 4:3 area. During laps 1-10, the BBC reverted back to the 4:3-only package before changing back to 16:9. Did this happen elsewhere?

Seen the Sky coverage and the answer seems to be yes.

RB's weekly Points of View messageboard update:
The response of Ben Edwards to the cameraman incident on lap nine of the German Grand Prix was truly shocking and awful. The first thing that David Croft (Sky Sports) did was to hope that the mean was all right, whereas Edwards just shouted 'OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!' and said that that was 'horrible to see'. He did not offer any hope or 'prayer' that the man was okay, and when David Coulthard attempted to pray for the man, he was interrupted by Edwards to shout about Grosjean getting the fastest lap.

This was improper conduct and Edwards should go. Now.
