So that more or less completes it for me.

However, I have 78 stations, so we need to lose three. We can get rid of Gunnersbury, because it's covered by Arsenal. Dunno about the other two though.

1 - Elephant & Castle
2 - Angel
3 - Chalk Farm
4 - Swiss Cottage
5 - Marble Arch
6 - Redbridge
7 - Temple
8 - Finsbury Park
9 - Knightsbridge
10 - Lancaster Gate
11 - Bow Road
12 - Arsenal (see 64)
13 - Monument
14 - Shepherd's Bush
15 - Blackhorse Road
16 - Limehouse
17 - West Ham
18 - East Ham (whichever way round you like)
19 - Oval
20 - Seven Sisters
21 - Tower Hill
22 - Green Park
23 - Cyprus
24 - Barking
25 - Canada Water
26 - Aldgate (old gate)
27 - New Cross
28 - Hatton Cross
29 - Whitechapel
30 - Archway
31 - Royal Oak
32 - Snaresbrook (Snare's broke)
33 - Blackfriars
34 - High Barnet
35 - Warren Street
36 - Becontree (Beak on tree, although I thought it was pronounced Beckon-tree)
37 - Bank
38 - Pinner
39 - Lambeth North
40 - Hammersmith
41 - Leytonstone
42 - Waterloo
43 - Preston Road
44 - King's Cross
45 - Marylebone (Marry le bone)
46 - Wood Green
47a - Cannon Street
47b - Highgate
48 - Covent Garden
49 - Baker Street
50 - White City
51 - Mansion House
52 - Barbican
53 - Kew Gardens
54 - Brixton
55 - Queensway
56 - Kilburn
57 - Turnham Green
58 - Balham
59 - Upney ("up knee" - a bit tenuous, and I'm not sure it's right, but it sounds good)
60 - Leicester Square (a square of Red Leicester cheese!)
61 - Stockwell (not sure what the white thing is in place of the bucket, but it's a well ...)
62 - Victoria (Victoria sponge?)
63 - Westminster (it may not be intended, but he put it on the sign)
64 - Gunnersbury (this is what I first thought when I saw this. Someone is "buried" in a tomb near some guns)
65 - Bounds Green (bound screen)
66 - Forest Hill
67 - Holburn
68 - Mill Hill East (It's a mill on a hill, but nothing suggests the "east" bit)
69 - Mile End (not sure where the "end" comes from)
70 - Mudchute
71 - Brent Cross (bent cross? This one is a bit tenuous too)
72 - Maida Vale
73 - Burnt Oak
74 - Hainault
75 - Bayswater
76 - Bond Street
77 - Parsons Green
78 - Hampstead

Having got 75/75 on the interactive version, I can confirm that it is Arsenal not Gunnersbury, Borough not Warren Street, Highgate is not a correct answer, Forest Hill is not a correct answer. I think that covers the tenuous stuff.

From Tubeguru's answer, the three we lose are

Highgate (the gate is part of the Lancaster Gate clue);
Gunnersbury (it's Arsenal);
Westminster (this name is part of the Queensway clue).

With the help of some spoilers from this forum, our household also has 75/75 online :)

Is there any reason why an item such as the gate couldn't feature in more than one answer?

Going by the north on the bath then the ham by the pub is East, which makes the mill on the hill on the east side of the road if that's any help?

The interactive version dictates the ham by the pub is west, as this is the only accepted answer.

No idea of the first one

Bayswater - Bay tree being watered

Dedham or Hampstead (Ham’s dead)

Parsons Green (Dog apparently is a Parson’s terrier)

Bond Street

Cannot see a station called Cyprus

What about the Mouse (rat) with the cheese behind Barbie and Ken

What is the big white marble with the water rising from it and

What is the drum next to the well
