No revising! You can enter up to, say, the end of this Friday.

Actually I withdraw my earlier comment as team GB are doing very well compared to 2008.
So far in 5 sports we are up on our medal tally from 2008
Canoe Slalom +1
Cycling Road +1
Rowing +3
Judo +2
Shooting +1
Looks like we will be well down on Swimming, currently -3, but overall it's looking good.

There we go. 25 beats my gold medal tally prediction, I imagine I got the bronze and silver horrifically wrong.

Well we're currently at 14-14, so not so bad at all.

If one of our boxers get gold and the other two get silver I'm virtually spot on.
The only other medal chances are Daley, Farah, The Hockey team & Spence in the Modern Pentathlon.

It's all over, and the final count is 29-17-19, for a total of 65 medals.

I predicted 66 :)

OK, the results are in!

The actual number of gold, silver and bronze medals won by Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics was 29-17-19

I have scored thus - for every number of medals each person was away for each medal type, one point has been awarded. So if you said 27 gold medals, you score two points, and so on. In the event of a tie, the person who guessed closest to the number of golds is ranked higher. The person with the lowest score wins. So, without further ado, the scores:

1 - Soup Dragon (27-18-19 - 2+1+0) = 3
2 - Sam (34-14-19 - 5+3+0) = 8
3 - Hopeless Traveller (25-18-15 - 4+1+4) = 9
4 - The Raven (24-18-16 - 5+1+3) = 9
5 - scrxisi (23-23-19 - 4+6+0) = 10
6 - kateyay (26-19-23 - 3+2+4) = 11
7 - Root (23-22-21 - 6+5+2) = 13
8 - Starkey7 (20-17-24 - 9+0+5) = 14
9 - nozzacook (18-22-19 - 11+5+0) = 15
10 - tractakid (24-24-24 - 5+7+5) = 17
11 - tubeguru (27-34-25 - 2+17+6) = 25
12 - jamesthegill (42-59-56 - 13+42+37) = 92

Congratulations to Soup Dragon, and gold medal for him. Can he defend his title in four years' time?

Thanks to Neil for not allowing me to change my initial entry. I had my doubts after a few days of competition but in the end Team GB did us proud.
