Aerial Photo of Station Thing Quiz #3 - CLOSED

Post by tubeguru »

OK, so it's time for another station, or should I say TWO stations?

There are two stations in the satellite image below - I need the name of both of them. The first station is to the right of the football ground, and the second station is to the left of where it says "Image (c) 2011" at the bottom.

There's no closing date - we'll play it by ear. I'll also see how you go, and whether or not people feel they'd like a clue before answering. Remember, PM me your answers. GO!

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

You can't ask me yes/no questions or we'll just end up with me telling you more or less where it is!

Tangy - PM me when you're ready then ...

I wonder how many people will do what I did, and use the stadium as a guide...

I didn't get it via the football stadium, never knew it was there (can't see it from the platforms) so was only going on the layout of the tracks.

Am I to take it that this one is causing a few more problems than the first two? I've had the usual smartarse answers in, but what about the rest of you?

I've submitted an answer based upon the facts that the stations are so close together and that it isn't Colchester.

OK, I think this one is done and dusted. Only six entries this time, but it was slightly more difficult.

Having said that, only one entry was incorrect, Starkey saying Stourbridge Town and Stourbridge Junction.

The actual answer was, of course, Wrexham General (top) and Wrexham Central (bottom). Those getting it right were:

Another one coming up soon when I find it ...

Annoyed that Wrexham doesn't appear on this list... http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations_ ... ll_ew.html
Attempts: 2 (17h38m, 238 stations) (unknown, 200 stations); Completions: 0; GWR: 0; PBs: 0.

Would that be because that list only includes the 92 clubs that comprise the Football League? Wrexham are in the Conference this season.
