OK, I've re-done the scores AGAIN. I was distracted when addressing Root's point about Q2, hence my second mistake.

So, Sam does not get her score halved at all. Root, Jamesthegill and greatkingrat all have adjusted scores because Stewart now scores two points instead of three. Root scores one point for Surtees.

So, this is how it stands before someone else finds something wrong with it:

I think it is better to keep the categories fairly broad eg history, films, music etc.

On a serious note I agree - I personally wouldn't go any further than a subgenre (as, for example, the F1 quiz being a subgenre of Sport), but given that the answers given will all be taken from wikipedia/other sources, I've got no real preference on the subject.
