Q7:

=====================================

So, the points for each person, in order are:

Soup Dragon - 72 (1*1*3*2*1*1*3*2*1*2)
Steeeeeeevoooooooooooooooooooo - 108 (1*3*1*1*2*3*1*2*1*3)
Sam - 144 (2*1*1*2*1*3*3*2*2*1)
Root - 288 (2*3*2*1*1*2*1*2*2*3)
greatkingrat - 432 (2*3*2*2*1*2*3*1*1*3)
scrxisi - 864 (2*3*6*1*2*2*3*1*2*1)
al - 3456 (2*1*3*2*4*3*3*2*2*2)
jamesthegill - 3456 (2*3*3*1*4*2*3*2*4*1)
Starkey - 663552 (4*3*6*4*4*6*6*4*4*1)

So, just like Vettel, Sam slips up and gets beaten to the line by Soup Dragon and Steeeeeeevoooooooooooooo. Starkey admitted he knew nothing about F1, and so he finished this quiz five laps down at the back of the field. But at least he scored a single point on the last round by striking it lucky with 1989.

Someone work out the cumulative scores, because I have no idea what they are or how they are being calculated.

Any questions ... ?

How did I pick up three points for Q2? My answer was John Surtees, which wasn't on your list of given answers. It is definitely correct though.

I'll work on the cumulative scores when that's sorted :)

Sorry, that was my mistake when copying the answers into my spreadsheet.

Surtees and Fangio are now worth 1 point each, so Root and Sam have their scores halved.

Therefore, following a steward's enquiry, the revised result of the Rare Entries GP is now:

Soup Dragon - 72 (1*1*3*2*1*1*3*2*1*2)
Sam - 72 (1*1*1*2*1*3*3*2*2*1)
Steeeeeeevoooooooooooooooooooo - 108 (1*3*1*1*2*3*1*2*1*3)
Root - 144 (1*3*2*1*1*2*1*2*2*3)
greatkingrat - 432 (2*3*2*2*1*2*3*1*1*3)
scrxisi - 864 (2*3*6*1*2*2*3*1*2*1)
al - 3456 (2*1*3*2*4*3*3*2*2*2)
jamesthegill - 3456 (2*3*3*1*4*2*3*2*4*1)
Starkey - 663552 (4*3*6*4*4*6*6*4*4*1)

Sam is promoted to joint first place, and is still the luckiest person to ever play this quiz, although maybe there is some psychology at work when people make their choices.

You have misunderstood Roots point - his answer to Q1 was still Fangio (therefore there are 2 responses of Fangio to this question), but his answer to Q2 was Surtees, which wasn't listed on your answers - therefore Roots original score should be divided by 3, and Sams original score should stand. :P

But that also affects anyone who said Stewart for number two. I hate this stupid quiz.

OK, I've re-done the scores AGAIN. I was distracted when addressing Root's point about Q2, hence my second mistake.

So, Sam does not get her score halved at all. Root, Jamesthegill and greatkingrat all have adjusted scores because Stewart now scores two points instead of three. Root scores one point for Surtees.

So, this is how it stands before someone else finds something wrong with it:

Soup Dragon - 72 (1*1*3*2*1*1*3*2*1*2)
Sam - 144 (2*1*1*2*1*3*3*2*2*1)
Steeeeeeevoooooooooooooooooooo - 108 (1*3*1*1*2*3*1*2*1*3)
Root - 96 (2*1*2*1*1*2*1*2*2*3)
greatkingrat - 288 (2*2*2*2*1*2*3*1*1*3)
scrxisi - 864 (2*3*6*1*2*2*3*1*2*1)
al - 3456 (2*1*3*2*4*3*3*2*2*2)
jamesthegill - 2304 (2*2*3*1*4*2*3*2*4*1)
Starkey - 663552 (4*3*6*4*4*6*6*4*4*1)

1 - SD
2 - Root
3 - Sam
4 - and so on ...
