I had Vettel in tenth - he only "finished" 14 places below that! Not bad.

The first one was Timo Glock and the second was his Irish cousin, Tim O'Glock. He used to drive for Jordan.

The deadline for the Brazilian GP is today. The final round of a very long season.

Here is the popularity contest table for this round's entries. It's quite obvious that one person has gone for a very odd set of picks (again, *cough*). My picks are pretty different too, because I realised that if I submitted the picks I originally wanted to, I would have had no chance of winning the championship. So I've gone for an Alonso victory, with the usual suspects following, then Massa, di Resta and Peréz rounding out the top ten. I might end up with hardly any points at all, but there's no fun in playing it safe :)

At the beginning of the season, everyone made a championship prediction, for the chance to share a 100-point bonus. I can now reveal everyone's predictions, in reverse order:
  • Lewis Hamilton was picked up palkanetoijala.
  • Mark Webber was picked by greatkingrat, Matthew Underwood and sam.
  • Fernando Alonso was picked by Root, scrxisi and tubeguru.
  • Jenson Button was picked by nobody (just building the suspense...)
  • Sebastian Vettel, the actual 2011 World Champion, was picked by mullardo.
Mullardo gets a bonus 100 points - well done. It doesn't really make a difference in the overall standings, as he is currently last, having stopped playing after five rounds. He'll finish last if hopeful traveller can score at least 51 points in this final round, which is highly likely.

There are still five of us in with a chance of winning, but scrxisi is the strong favourite, with a 58-point cushion over greatkingrat at the top.

There are no rules regarding who I can pick, and as I have no chance of finishing neat the top, I am exercising my free choice.

Reserve driver FTW!

I wasn't in any way trying to limit your free choice! I think Other (reserve driver) is one of your only hopes for scoring points this weekend ;)

Quote from the story:

"The F1 channel will also come at no extra charge to all Sky TV customers who take both Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 or the HD pack of channels."

And we have the HD pack, so we get it free too! Woot.

I HAVE to start nagging my Dad now that the Beeb have said what they'll be showing. Barcelona - 1, yes, 1, recorded on-track pass in 2002 (Coulthard on Fisichella). Valencia - ONE on-track pass in 2009.

Jesus, that's a lot of money.
