Paris Metro anyone?
Surprised no-one has suggested a Paris Metro Challenge yet!
This is something I'd like to do, but I'm not overly familiar with it! I've done some of it so far, and enjoyed it, but it's more the planning of swift interchanges that will be hard!
I'm hoping to do this sometime, not until 2007 I daresay now though.

You don't need to know French fluently to master the Paris Metro! I hardly know any French, but I know enough to get by with the basics. Knowing things like 'Sortie' meaning 'Exit' is handy, and 'jambon' being ham, useful when looking for a sandwich!
Finding my way around interchanges on the Paris Metro was, in some cases, easier than interchanges I've done on the Tube! . And I was informed via a book that they are. Bollocks. The Central/Bakerloo interchange at Oxford Circus is worse!

I do have my fair-share at basic French. (which does come in handy sometimes)
And as for the Central Bakerloo interchange at Oxford Circus, I know what you mean. One time I was visiting London, I had to change onto the Bakerloo line and it seemed a maze down there. Also, I had to change from the northbound Bakerloo to the Central. Since I couldnt see a Way Out sign, I had to walk to the southbound Bakerloo platforms then find a way out or interchance corridor as there was no corridors present at the northbound side.
I also heard that Oxford Circus has some sort of 'One Way' system at the Bakerloo/Victoria section. In my opinion, it's a nightmare As you cant get to where you want to go without going somewhere else first

No, actually I've got a Zone 1 route which has a change at Tottenham Court Road. It is a very good route and I've estimated its time to be 2 hours 44 minutes - one minute inside the record! For each change, I've been allowing one minute's physical movement between lines, and two minutes' wait for the next train. This is looking good!

I'll guarantee to get you from any line to any other line within 35 seconds, because I've got a few tricks up my sleeve.

I believe I've got an interchange in a Fixed Start Z1 challenge at Tott. Court Road too. Can't remember the interchange though without looking for that plan, but in my experience, most interchanges are pains in the neck!
