Thanks for clarifying - I assume that you are also excluding the hybrid combination of straight and loop traversed when travelling Hythe-Hythe via Britannia Points and Dungeness on the fortunately-aforementioned RH&DR :-)

Excellent news Tangy. Maybe I'll hit the tram networks next year.

I'd be keen on adding some "all the stations" Network Rail Challenges to your list as well. Obviously Geoff has the British record, which Guinness refused to acknowledge. But there are many regional tickets that cover specific networks. Ones I've tried so far are GWR Devon and Cornwall, Anglia Plus, Southern Daysave, Southeastern, West Midlands, Cardiff Valleys, Glasgow, Wales and Scotland. xcooler123 has joined me for a few of those. They are not easy. In fact I haven't completed any of them so far in a day! I can give you more details and come up with a list of stations for each challenge, if you want.

Geoff does not have the British record do your research Geoff isn't even close to it 😂😂😂😂 and they refuse to recognize it any longer regardless Geoff trip took twice the time of the former record

I think the Pontypool and Blaenavon and the Dean Forest both have branch lines (and both run under LROs).

A number of other Heritage Railways have miniature/narrow gauge adjuncts - do these count?

A Challenge to visit all the Great Little Trains of Wales stations would be an interesting one - but they are not all operated under LROs.

I didn't realise anyone else had done all the stations. Who is the record holder (dstock17 maybe) and what is the time?

The last record to be published was

Colin M Mulvany and Seth N Vafiadis of west London visited every open British Rail station (2378 ) embracing also the Tyne & Wear, Glasgow and London underground systems (333 stations) for charity in 31 days 5hr 8min 58sec. They travelled over 24,989 km (15,528 miles) to average 61.2 km/h (38.1 mph) from 4 Jun - 5 Jul 1984.

Thanks. Doing that in a month is very impressive. I wonder if Seth Vafiadis is the ex QPR football player? And wonder why Guinness dropped this record?

So if the record is reset every time new stations open, Geoff and Vicki do hold the record for 2,563 "allthestations", although as RJSRdg says they did use taxis and cars.

Geoff and vickie do not hold the record as they didn't visit every station as per the recognised guidelines regardless of taxis

Because the book is not a reference work anymore, it's a kid's annual! :(
