Well done. Just tell me you didn't go over there just to set a record... :)

This was deemed a special occasion, so I was asked to write an account of the day, which has just been published.

Part One.

Part Two.

Part Three.

Heh, and I still haven't beaten your NET record.

Some of the comment leavers are miserable so and so's aren't they? I guess they missed the bit about you being English, and expected your grammar to be American-English.

I found it a very enjoyable read. Not sure I'll ever get the chance to compete for the 'record' unfortunately :( For future reference, Google Maps and Bing Maps are rubbish when it comes to navigating any city in America, in my experience!

People make nasty comments when they feel protected by anonymity. The same doesn't happen on here because we all pretty much know each other. I'd also like to think we have more class 8) Well done Adham, anyway, both for doing the challenge and having your write-up published.

The account is not very good in comparison to those written by Geoff, for example, who states where he is at a few points in the day but keeps people guessing for the rest. He keeps the intrigue up and his writing is very good. When the initial post that I was going to do it was published, there was a comment from someone who had been to every terminus in one day, but not, I believe stopped at every station: "Let's see how he does, I'm up for a second round", or something similar.

I wondered if I could write something without menitoning any locations, even though that would have been of primary interest for the readers. Of course, this isn't a well-known concept to a lot of people, especially over the ocean. If they know the basics, for example, starting or finishing at the furthest station, I'm sure they can deduce roughly where I went. They know the system better than me, after all.

Back to Europe next, I think. NET, Paul or anyone?

Cheers.
