Cartographically, that map is awful!

No idea how it compares to LU to know if it's a good or bad time though...

I'm sure they have train geeks in Spain too.

I have a book of Metro maps from around the world, and Madrid has a beautiful 30-degree diagonal map in it; one of my favourites after London. It's not identical to this one, but the style is similar. Why they would use a horrible map like that instead is baffling.

Oh, I do like the wiggles in the bottom left.
Don't like the hair-pin bends the lines take nearer the centre of the map, nor the occasional continuation of one line into a different colour as it passes through a station. (and the other parts of the lines veer off in unexpected ways)

Thanks, Kevin.

I believe Spanish train geeks might be somewhat thin on the ground, because when I explained to a chap on Line 6 what was going on, he was adamant that I could not do it. Everyone I encountered that day seemed like it was the first they had heard of something like this. I have not found any evidence of anyone else having attempted it, so I could be the first, but who knows?
