I can confirm this they should have a 9 min connection at hammersmith baring disaster should be a world GWR.Support team tried but couldnt hold up a scheduled train for them this would have broken the 18h barrier

i dont think they can make the earlier connection as it leaves the same time they get into h&c hammersmith but 22.44 is enough to give them a 18h 06 mins time and new world record.

Surely 18:15 will be at 23:43:16? We're not quite there yet...

My best estimate (for what I believe is their route) would be a 30% chance to make the 23:14 (or better), a 50% chance to make the 23:24 (or better) and a 70% chance to make the 23:34 (or better). Otherwise they have probably had some bad luck out of the ordinary...

(When we set our GWR we were on the 70% mark).

Quite - my brain isn't quite functioning correctly at this time, for which I apologise. I lost half an hour in my excitement :)

around 3% according to my statistical model...

(The average arrival is around 23:20 with a standard deviation of around 18 minutes - which may look a bit strange to the statistically inclined, but the distribution is somewhat skewed and not very gaussian).
