March 27 is the date of opening atm. From 13th January the Piccadilly line splits with half services going to Heathrow Terminal 4, waiting 8 minutes and then continuing the Heathrow Terminals 1-2-3. The other half will go directly from Hatton Cross to Heathrow Terminals 1-2-3 and continue on empty to Heathrow Terminal 5 and then return. The whole thing adds about 12 minutes to your journey as you have the 8 minute wait at Terminal 4, it takes approx. 2 minutes longer to get to Terminal 4 from Acton Town and also 2 minutes longer from Terminal 4 to Terminals 1-2-3. This occurs until March 27 when it will be the same situation except Terminal 5 will be in service

Speaking to a friend of mine on the Piccadilly line it seems once the train leaves Heathrow Terminal 4 heading back to London it doesn't wait at Heathrow Terminals 1-2-3 like they did prior to the change, they just stop pick up passengers and leave. This may actually mean that this change doesn't take as much time up as previosuly thought (unless you finish at Heathrow ofc)

Correct Joy54.

However it is unlikely that you would travel from T4 to T123 and then onto Hatton Cross once T5 has opened.

With regard to your post of Jan 3 - you should have read my earlier post, it would have saved you time.

This is correct, there was no wait at T123.
