Tube Challenge attempt

Post by jonny »

Evening,

Myself and Martin Hazel (tangy) will be attempting the full 275 record on Wednesday 11th July.

We would be very grateful if anyone on this forum could volunteer to offer some help during the day, either starting/stopping of a stopwatch or back up support during the day.

It is my sixth attempt at getting around all the stations, but only my second at a world record. I would like to announce to those who are aware of what happened in my last world record attempt that I shall be contacting Hakan before the attempt to verify that he is happy with our plans.

Regards,

Jonny & Martin

I hope it's not too hot for you ...

If you're doing any runs in the north-west corner of London, I might be able to carry bags on my bike! (I might mention North Harrow, or Kenton, here...)

I'm intrigued to hear that you have to get permission from the esteemed Hakan!

OK.

Seeing as that induced more speculation than I was hoping.

I do know Hakan's route, and Hakan is aware of this. I am, however, NOT planning on using it, and I will be checking with him that he is happy that the route we are taking is not his so as to avoid any contemplation of 'cheating'.

Thanks to those that have offered help, I shall keep in touch.

It's the tubechallenge code of honour really, as discsussed previously nobody actually owns a route but it would be seen as unsporting to use someone elses route for your own GWR gain..
Part of the satisfaction is coming up with your own route and reseaching etc.... :D

Anyway this isn't the case here by the looks of it..... :D

It was just to check that he could confirm the fact that our routes were different if anyone accused anyone else of cheating. It's no big deal, I just wanted to check that there would be no problems.
