I agree, but I guess it depends how seriously we take Tube Challenging.
If there was enough interest on this forum I guess we could elect a committee to act as the body to liaise with GWR and ratify rules and challenge attempts. But with so many attempts being made recently and debate amongst forum members I'm not sure who would have enough time to oversee such a committee.
One day I shall return!

I really think that the idea of a separate "governing body" is taking things a step too far.

I don't.

The idea has been suggested before, and if Im not mistaken it used to be done like that. If there is someone with common sense and time enough to do it, then it will mean that the tube challenge will work much better than it has been doing recently.

I don't think there would be enough interest amongst non active but experienced tube challengers for this to work effectively. Shame though.
