January attempt

Post by dr_chris »

Seriously considering an all 275 attempt in January - probably around 3rd/4th of the month...

Would anyone be willing to consider helping with stopwatch duties around this time? No firm commitments as yet, just getting an idea.

Special invitation to Sam and Steve to join the attempt... sad that it has come to this... *sigh*.

Wear a hat. It'll be chilly.

You might fancy trialling [sic] a nice pair of snow shoes for the overground runs. It might be quite icy!

You might have problems with ice on the lines too - depends on how well Red Ken has improved that area of the network

January not really the top time for a challenge, though I will lend my "good luck"

Sounds like a good way to get the "New Year" hangover out of your system...
I guess you are finishing at Upminster  But if Heathrow is involved let me know and I can tie up that end...... :)

January?! Interesting.

Let us know how it goes, as January is not the ideal time for it really ...

Well it's an unusual time... but it's more a case of fixing the tube challenge in a day rather than fixing a day for the tube challenge...

I don't understand.

Why not do it in October when it's warmer?

I don't think they would be allowed, as skateboards, scooters, roller skates and bikes are also not allowed. For GWR to count it has to be under your own power with no assistance.

Wonder if giving a piggy back to fellow team members is allowed though??? as Starkey might need to help you out in November. :D

Oh we're going to have so much fun aren't we? What with Going Underground leaping on to wrong trains, you [Soup Dragon] losing and breaking stopwatches, and me getting stuck in doors, we're going to have a fine old time!

I think Team Needing Help will be our name, by the way I have decided if you are all in agreement what our team roles are going to be...Mine won't be deciding which trains we board or direction we go in :?
