18h35m38s eh? That's a bloody amazing time!

Congratulations to both of you. I bow to the masters of LUL.

Yes, well done.

Do you know, I still haven't actually framed mine from two years ago - it's still in the cardboard envelope.

Watch out for Hakan later this month ...

If you didn't visit all 275 then sadly, yes.

How is just 5 seconds faster a 'bloody amazing' time though? :-)

Yes, could Geoff and I have a bow too, for being only five seconds slower, or is our time merely an OK time?

;-)

I was rather hoping that they might come with me... in the interests of team spirit/smashing their own time!

Believe me, when you've done it once and got the record, your motivation wanes.

Mine's virtually all gone. Sam and Steve may well find that themselves if they hang on to it for a few months.

Once you've done it, you'ved done it! No need to prove it to yourself again.

I wasn't aware it was that close...!

In which case I bow to tubeguru and yourself too. I would never manage that time!

Chris,

If you wish to go out and try and break the record, that is up to you, you will need your own route though and the way we see it, what is the point in doing it again... whilst we have the record, there is no point!!!

Sam!!! (on Steeevooo's computer, couldn't be bothered to log him out and me in :P )

Two questions...

1) Why will I need my own route? What's wrong with our one?

2) As your captain I appeal for some assistance in breaking your record.

Now then, this whole "using the route of someone who has already broken the record" ...

It's contentious. I would have been unhappy if the helper from our record run used that route for his own gain. Mind you, there are better routes to be used, so maybe he wouldn't do so well if he did it himself.

There is a huge sense of achievement if you get a record using your own route. Simply using someone else's route is unfulfilling and is lazy.

Would you feel that you'd cheated yourself if you simply took their route and ran it yourself? I know I would.
