First Ever Attempt - Thursday 13th April

Oh yes. It's finally happening. Sometime in the Easter Holidays (probably either 18th, 19th or 20th April), me and my dad will hopefully be attempting the big'un. The father of them all. The king of Tube Challenges. The Full Network Challenge. I am using my own route (not the quickest, but allows for a couple of hours worth of delays), however i have a couple of questions:
  • 1. Where are the best places to go to the toilet
    2. Where are the best places to get food (it will just be the two of us, so probably no drop-offs :()
I know these depend on the route, etc. etc., but i know there are some popular places!

Thanks, TG

1. In a bottle
2. Tesco and carry it around with you

1. Have a look here. It tends to be the extremities of the map that are the best places. Mill Hill East in particular becuase you pretty much always have a 6-8 minute or so wait. Also, if you use the c2c between West Ham and Upminster they have toilets on the trains. Or as Steeevooo said, a 2ltr empty bottle.

2. Meal deals from any supermarket and carry them around with you. One less thing to worry about.

There's also a cafe at Upminster which could prove useful for food (my current route involves a 10 minute wait there!)

You're willing to bet that you won't do the thing you just said you were doing?

I'm betting it WILL happen, and if it does tractakid has to pay £100.

I didn't think MHE had toilets? Finchley Central does if you time the shuttle slightly wrong, but they are usually disgusting.

Ealing Broadway has a pasty shop on the platform, next to the toilets.

Toilet at Stamford Brook has come in handy before, its a staff toilet at Hainault but didnt stop me from getting staff to open it,Woodford has a nice baguette shop opposite if delayed there, most Termini have toilets like Cockfosters for example although I couldnt find one at Edgware,at Morden I used the Sainsbury next door.

Earl's Court has one outside of the ticket barriers, in case you get delayed there.

Edgware one is far right corner if you're coming out there. Morden hasn't had a public loo for a few years

You sometimes have 3-4 minutes at Epping (just pass the entrance to the station on the platform)

Northwick Park might be a useful place for a loo stop if you have to wait there - I used them during the Park Challenge.
