I know, but seeing as I already had to use Southern for Ken Oly, it won't count anyway.

Brilliant. Millimetres from the train at WQR, now a 12 minute wait for the next. What little hope of completing we had has now gone.

Last one from me - will only be 264 out of 270, which I'm pretty happy with. And have learnt some things for potential next time too....

Also met some others at Chesham who had done it, but only missed one. They were screwed by the Heathrow problems too.

Which stations did you (and them if you know) miss, and does 274 include Kensington Olympia? Also, what happened at Heathrow?

Congrats on your first attempt :D When I did my first attempt with tufnellpark our attempt was almost scuppered TWICE by the Piccadilly line (once at Rayners Lane and once trying to get down to Heathrow). I also have a number of documented attempts on various challenges of things going wrong on the Piccadilly line so some sympathies there :( On the plus side, the only way is up from here :D

That's intriguing - did you do some sort of South Kenton to Preston Road transfer?

Yes - were going to go up Bakerloo to H&W, then back to SK and run, but ended up just missing the end two and walking it. Definitely doing Kenton-Northwick Park next time though!

Very well done.

And good luck with your next attempt when I'm sure you'll get a full 270.

Little update - I got in my local paper! I'm about the only person I know who reads it, and I was just looking through when I spotted my face (terrible photo though)!

It also got a few more pounds, taking the current total to £520
