All Lines Challenge: Attempt One 21.02.06

Post by CrunchySaviour »

Today I attempted the All Lines Challenge.

I started at Barbican and ended at Oxford Circus.

The time was 1h 00m 29s . A couple of excellent changes, a couple of bad ones, and a couple of short waits in tunnels.

That places me 3rd on the leaderboard as it currently stands on tubechallenge.com ...

"Barbican to Oxford Circus" should be enough info for you to work out at least half of the route!

Maybe. I have an extra lecture on Weds so I may not be able to attend.

Tuesdays are better for me.

I'm taking a day off work one day soon to join you in one of these.

Pondering a try at the All Lines myself at some point, possibly testing Jack's suggested route, though I'm not entirely sure it's a "record breaker" given the Central to Victoria change at Oxford Circus, Victoria to Piccadilly at Green Park, and Bakerloo to Northern at Charing Cross.

Cheers,

Barry

They key to a successful all-lines is, I think, the sub-surface lines and in particular, the Met, H&C and Circle.

Agreed. I utilised this anticipation in gaining the speedy-ish time that I did.

Hey Crunchy. Tuesdays can work, but only when I have uni in London (alternate weeks). 7th March is the next time I can shoot down the Tubes. I finish uni at 1:30 in Islington.

All boils down to the Whitechapel to Farringdon Stretch IMO. I always used a central at Liverpool St & a northern at bank just so i get to moorgate and kept my options open (Take Circle & Met In Any Order In Either Direction)
