I had another go at the record on Friday, and had the best day for a long time. Although there was a signal failure east of Dagenham, this didn't affect me particularly. My biggest problems were:
- a Met leaving Watford probably 2 mins early (without me on it, obviously!)
- a Bakerloo driver not even on the train at E&C when the signal was pulled off
- waiting ages for buses. I even ended up running between Canons Park and Edgware.
Lots of positives though. I saw 2 things I didn't know were possible:
- An Olympia train using platform 3 at Earls Court
- A District line train terminating at Hornchurch
I kept going until nearly 2300, but was only on for breaking my PB by about 5 mins, which wouldn't bring it below 17 hours so I stopped in the interests of getting sleep. It has renewed my enthusiasm for it though

Well done - good to see you are still trying! I hope to have another attempt myself sometime this year, but I doubt that, with the current timetable and the state of my knee, I would be able to beat my existing best.
