I got on front page of the Rugby Observer with a picture, but the advertiser wouldn't publish it.

Post by Annie Mole »

Well done Sam - I love they way they call you a "plucky teenager"

You must be becoming quite a celeb now - loads of radio interviews and even going to rival radio stations - good for you

Yeah i know, they all think i'm mad, but it's something which has to be done!! :)
And as i work in a shop, some of the customers were asking if it was me in the paper, and my dads work mates saw it and now all wanna sponsor so it's working!!
Good luck to everyone else!!! :D

I've just had a phone call from Kate Southern, a reporter with the Enfield Independent. Gonna get some photos taken at Arnos Grove on Sunday, to go in next week's issue with any luck (due out on Wednesday).

Cheers,

Barry

I didn't. I faxed both them and the Advertiser one of Geoff's handy personalised Press Releases. ;)

In the interests of fairness, however, I'm planning on giving Kate yours and Andrew's details as well, though making it clear you're not part of my team.

I was considering sending copies to local radio, but we haven't got any really local stations that it would "suit" and I figured Geoff would want to contact BBC London himself.

Cheers,

Barry

Nah, don't worry about it!

Plug yourself to bits! We'll be fine with just the Gazette. Though to be fair, we've had no sponsors yet who spotted us in there..

I'm just surprised that they've picked up on it with someone else, since I posted one of those on Monday..

Actually, that said, I do have a bit of patchy history with the Independent. Maybe they've got my name on some list of people never to deal with again..

Can I remind everyone: You're not giving the date away in the interviews are you? You can say "Last week of August", but we need to keep the date schtumn until the day itself, or the day before .. for security reasons, and at TFL's request, okay?

This is very important!

cheers .. Geoff.
