Also, is there a time to check in by at Nita Hurley's?

Who am I sharing a room with?

At what time will most people be getting to the pub in Amersham on the night before the challenge?
That'll depend almost entirely on traffic in our case!

I'm aiming for about 9.. (by the time I get home from work, change etc, get tube to the edge of no where, go check into my pub room and get to that one)

Though anyone know what timet hey serve food to at the pub? I should call them really..

Bear in mind people, that staying out late on the night before and drinking will not help you on the day after :-)

I'm trying to shed some pounds at the moment so I'm three weeks into the GI diet - no alcohol and no caffeine either - mine's a mineral water then :x

I'll be in Amersham from 5pm onwards I expect. I'll be aiming for the pub at 7pm - so anytime after is good.

If people are running late, call the pub (01494 727082) get them to talk to us, and we'll put an order in for you!

But I intend to eat early & drink soft drinks only. Alcohol will not be good for you people! save the drinking for Saturday ...

Alas, my team will not be able to meet up in Amersham the evening before, as half of us are going to be at the Innkeeper's Lodge in Beaconsfield (next to the White Hart pub, and £39.95 a night), which is 5 miles away, and the other half are going to be in High Wycombe, which is 8 miles away.

Most of us should make the Saturday meet, however, given we'll be in London anyway.

Cheers,

Barry, now in posession of a Sainsbury's carrier bag containing six punched pockets, each containing a printout of our planned route, 10 copies of the "What We're Doing" flyer, and a B&W Underground Map (Mine also contains bus timetables and a copy of the relevant map extracts and a pen)[/url]

"Hello, do you have a bunch of strange people including a guy called Geoff in your pub?
"Can I speak to them please?"

Packing to head down now......

figuring out those Olympia times, I hope there isn't strike action as a 30 minute service could really screw people.

i have a route....should work.....ish.....is it really that bad an idea to turn round at Camden Town, never tried it...

no friends tho....anyone up for doing T4 and a light jog between stations?

See you tomorrow! Sleep well and happy dustmask dreams!
You twisted individual....

Our route has two options for the Earl's Court/Olympia section. We have two chances of getting to within a few minutes of an Olympia train.

Otherwise, we'll see you on the platform!

Mine does too. Long waits at Finchley Central and Woodford finally convinced me that flexibility was a good idea!

Talking of ideas, why doesn't everyone going to Upminster sit at the front of the train for their final journey? That way you'll know who's on your train, and you can begin reminiscing that little bit earlier, as well as explaining where the 10 connections were that you missed by a few seconds, which would have left you half an hour ahead blah blah blah..

Of course, I'll be the worst at that-just to warn you!
