Neil was refering to the underpass by aldgate in my first attempt 275 i did use this underpass as per his advice. Whether it saves time unlikely but at that time i was a rookie.

I enjoyed reading those last few posts.

Thanks for the update. Was about to start googling to find out about it.

That's why I asked. The only one I could think of was the one between the two Edgware Road stations (or the abandoned one at Hammersmith) so I was just wondering if there was another one I'd missed. Mystery now solved!

Ha, it's all about perspective, isn't it? I only knew about Aldgate and not the two you just mentioned, hence my puzzlement!
Held some Alternative Challenge records for a long time.
Doesn't any more.

Way ahead of you!

I was rather confused myself, as I've done the Aldgate/Aldgate East run a few times and never noticed an underpass before.

I'm happy to be included (explicitly or anonymously) if you would like to include something such as:

DavidC [or] David Collison [or] One member of the tubechallenge forum ... is a great example of those who love the tube but don't aspire to a serious FNC record. Until recent events, he had regularly travelled on the tube to school and work for almost half a century. Other challenges such as All Lines, Croydon Tramlink, DLR and South Of The River provide great opportunities for him to dabble in shorter challenges without too much effort or commitment. He is, by his own definition, merely "a fiftysomething who walks briskly". He loves the intellectual and historical aspects and the timetable planning, but has no great desire to face the food, sleep and toilet deprivations of a serious FNC. Couch to 5k and Parkruns might well revolutionise his involvement in tube challenges ... if he ever gets round to participating in them.

Obviously I will understand if you decide that I am a trivial and irrelevant attention-seeker who doesn't deserve such a mention, or that I am far too verbose :-) Obviously you are free to edit my suggestion too - it's your book: "DavidC is a pompous unfit idiot who..." :-)

DavidC
First to 100000 in the 2015+ Tumbleweed contest. Winner of a few rounds of a diverse range of quizzes/games. Some decent times in alternative challenges as a fiftysomething who merely walks briskly. Briefly led All The Actons.

Change the name to "Jenny" and the pronouns to "she" and that pretty much sums me up too! Though I might attempt a very slow FNC (with toilet breaks) if the Olympics runs this year.
