The Tube Strike is on Weds 5th August, their attempt is on Fri 7th, Victoria blockade starts on Sat 8th (for three weeks).

Christian Wolmar is a well-known commentator on the British railway industry, who often appears on current affairs programmes. I had no idea that he was considering adoption as Labour's mayoral candidate, still less that he was attempting the Tube Challenge:

Personally,I can't stand the man. Gave up reading his "articles" in RAIL magazine as he never seemed to have anything positive to say.
