im still sort of planning it (getting there and back and all that) but which hotels do people tend to stay in for a chesham start?

I'll get to Chesham on the morning having slept at my house in MK. Train to Berkhamsted and taxi from there to Chesham looking the likely option!

I use the Long Island hotel rickmansworth. And travel up on the start train.

Does the 'start train' you mention feature in the journey planner? That shows first train from Rickmansworth to Chesham at 0530, which would miss the first Chesham depart at 0515 but would make the next departure at 0557? Never used the 05:15 but have used the 05:57 & the 06:30

I recorded the sixth fastest full network time ever (which was the fourth fastest at the time I did it) catching the 05:15 - so although the first few connections on paper don't look ideal, time can be made up later.palkanetoijala31 wrote: Thats because we dont use the 05:15 from chesham thats an awful train to start from
