I like starting at Chesham. Its not necessary for a fast time, I agree, but I feel the event may be more popular on an Olympia rather than a non-Olympia day.

scrxisi wrote:I voted 13th but only because that is a full day off for me. I'd only be available as support to a serious GWR attempting team and there's a couple of tubechallengers to whom I'd offer first (and second) refusal. You may or may not regard my vote as serious based on this!

This does sound fantastic. Could be available I just need the money for accommodation and whatever.

Re: Fantastic August Race around the Tube
Depends, I could potentially be free to descend on London as and when I want. Attempting to sort out a job at the momento, so I'm potentially free all days but they may be knocked off, who knows? Anyway, I will do my best to be part of the day actually attempting and not supporting. #TeamRhys event? I think sohopeful traveller wrote:If I am able to go and you can't, are you available for support on those days?Rhys1995 wrote:This does sound fantastic. Can we have a decision on the date so that we can start booking hotels and trains and in my case childminder.

I would echo Nozza's request. As I can only potentially do it on either the Tuesday or Wednesday, at the moment I'm leaning towards trying on the Tuesday, so that if all goes wrong early on, then I could have another go on Wednesday.nozzacook wrote:Can we have a decision on the date so that we can start booking hotels and trains and in my case childminder.

Re: Fantastic August Race around the Tube
OK. The date will be selected on Tuesday at 12:00 noon. That gives 4 weeks notice. If you haven't voted, make your voice known!
Formatting the data differently... (removing 1 from all votes as scrxisi voted for all but won't compete)
13th tractakid, hopeful traveller, tangy, Iain, Nigel, Al, nozzacook, The Raven, Going Underground, palkanetoijala31.
14th tractakid, hopeful traveller, tangy, Iain, Nigel, Sam, Al, nozzacook.
15th tractakid, hopeful traveller, tangy, Iain, Sam.
16th tractakid, hopeful traveller, tangy, Iain, Sam, A2.
So, based on current standings, (which could change) the 15th is out with no unique attendees (even though it's Sam's preferred day), the 16th has the benefit of A2 but we lose Nigel, Nozza, Al and The Raven, so this is unfortunately also out. Sorry Andrew! That leaves the 13th and the 14th... excluding the unknown voters, we have a case of Sam vs The Raven. But, using both the tiebreaker of the greater number of unknown voters and the prospect of scrxisi support, the 13th would win. If this was the case, sorry Sam! Perhaps you could do something on the 16th racing against A2, the only other person that would miss out.
Edit...
Thinking about calling it on the 13th already, it seems to have pulled into a larger lead. Finding it difficult to know exactly who has voted in the poll, but it seems to be clearly in front.

I can do 14th as well but would rather use that as the "recovery" day rather then go to work on 15th at 0630hrstractakid wrote:Nice!Going Underground wrote:13th tractakid, hopeful traveller, tangy, Nigel, Al, nozzacook, The Raven, GU
