I think Goblin is a cool name :P

Now I understand why the Overground record times are known as NLL top in the URL on ExplorerTicket. :)

I used to live on the GOBLIN line, at Upper Holloway. This was before any of this London Overground rubbish. Back then it was the good (bad) old NLL!

geofftech wrote:rumour has it, that the connection between the two Walthamstows will finally open next month (August) taking the connection down from 736 metres down to nearly just 300 - halved. so should be possible to do in 2-3 minutes rather than 4-5, allowing you to be one train up at Walthamstow. can anyone confirm this? Martin?
When I last was at Queens Road (I think about a month ago) work on the new entrance seemed fairly advanced.

Hopefully it will be open in time for FART. Is that an event you'd be interested in attending, Geoff?

Also depends on the current building works on the Up side at Central- once the building works are finished that end, the car park will be brought back to its original size, currently half of it is used for building materials!

The ramp at the Queen's Road end is ready to use, albeit fenced off! They will need to clear the weeds from the footpath leading up to the car park end as it is quite overgrown. I have been informed by the GOBLIN Users Group that this footpath link was first announced TWENTY years ago!

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

Everyone's battling it out over a FNC on August 13th. Nothing more, nothing less. Iain gave it it's silly name. What will you be doing in Edinburgh?

An update to this.

The footpath link between Walthamstow Central and Walthamstow Queen's Road is now FULLY open. I have just done a test run from the footbridge at Queen's Road to the mainline platform at Central and did it in 1 minute 30.

Good things come to those who wait (eventually).
