The new timetables scupper most of the Met! Off the top of my head, they slap on a blanket 40mph speed restriction from Amersham to Moor Park on the Southbound, and implement double blocking (i.e. requiring the next two signal sections to be clear to get a proceed aspect). Hence the extra three minutes of running time.

I took the Met from Chesham to Pinner, then later from Pinner to Amersham, on Sunday, and it did feel very slow. We were waiting at stations a lot longer than usual.

I was in the playground on Thursday going from Watford to H-o-t-H via Moor Park, I didn't think the S-Stock was slower than normal!
