that means packing the rucksack the night before, getting up at 4:30 to get a very quick shower
On half of my six attempts, I've caught the first train of the day out of Chesham, which given I travel there from Woodford means a 3.30am alarm.

Probably advisable to get your tickets the day before. You don't want to encounter problems with a ticket machine at 5.05am :D
Current best: 19:51:10 (2014). Hopefully that will be broken in 2018 :-)

I've never had a problem. Make sure you bring a card though- I had to buy Andi's ticket on my card as he only had cash!

... and if your are doing it from Yorkshire, you get up at 10pm, half an hour before you go to bed

(... and drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when you get home, your Dad and mother would kill you and dance about on your grave singing Hallelujah.
And you try and tell the young people of today that ..... they won't believe you.
They won't!)
