Tube Reccy Day - Parking advice
Hi,
off to London on Wednesday to do our practice changes for our charity challenge in September. Weather looks like it could play a major part!!
Anyway, we are heading up from the south coast and were planning on parking at Richmond. Does anyone know the area and know if we are likely to easily be able to park? Old Deer Park looks our best bet but not sure if it gets full early.
Probably arriving in Richmond about 9.30-10am.
Many thanks
Jason

If your coming in on the A3. I usually park for free near New Malden station, Alric Avenue. 5 mins from the station.
Or you can park for free on the A30 near Heathrow Terminal 4.

A parking guide would be a useful thing to put together, if people can contribute knowledge about any free parking places that they know of.
Although not free, there's some website, park at my house, which is worth a Google.

Be careful on Grange Road, if you're too near to the station then it's not free, but if you go a bit further down it is

Has anyone tried parking near Feltham staiton? (which is handy for us trying to get to Richmond)
Streetview suggests free on street parking within 10 mins walk of the station.

Re: Tube Reccy Day - Parking advice
Well, got vetoed on the alternative parking, so ended up at Richmond.
A very successful days practice, we managed 106 stations in under 8 hours and managed to practice all our zone 1-3 changes and runs.
Only possible problem was that everything went a bit TOO smoothly. Trains would arrive as we got to platforms or would arrive within 1 minute. Highlights include in and out of Southwark in under 30 seconds, Edgware Road in a minute!!!! Slightly concerned we have used up all our luck!
6 weeks to get fitter though as the runs were killing me!
