Don't forget the 2 or 3 trains a day run by South West Trains which use the District Line from Wimbledon to East Putney.

The current services that use the line are
0454 Basingstoke - Waterloo
2254 Basingstoke - Waterloo
2312 Waterloo - Basingstoke
0042 Waterloo - Strawberry Hill
0105 Waterloo - Southampton Central
It has also been used for diversions during weekend engineering work.

Re: possible tube film?
Is there any particular reason for some trains to go via East Putney? Or is it parliamentary train territory?greatkingrat wrote:The current services that use the line are

I think it is mainly to keep the drivers route knowledge in case they need to use it "for real" during engineering work/diversions.

Re: possible tube film?
The 22:54 doesn't show up at all on the TFL journey planner, nor does it show as stopping at any of the tube stations on the National Rail journey planner. I haven't checked the others but I imagine it is similar.

Re: possible tube film?
No, none of them actually stop at any District line stations, I think they are mostly non-stop from Clapham Junction to Wimbledon (NR platforms).

Well, in that case it can't count for the challenge.

A lot of empty coaching movements to Wimbledon Park depot go that way, not all depots know the East Putney though.greatkingrat wrote:I think it is mainly to keep the drivers route knowledge in case they need to use it "for real" during engineering work/diversions.

Re: possible tube film?
getting back to the subject of the film they say they did it in around 3h 40m I was surprised when i put their complete route through the journey planner and believe me they were some very lax connection and still came out 16m ahead of them!
perhaps we should do the same film Raven me and you and beat their time.
