The Next Big Change to the Tube Network

Post by nozzacook »

It was officially announced yesterday that Watford Met line station will close. The official closure notice was issued yesterday but will not happen until the new croxley link will open in 2016 adding 4 new stations to the tube network giving us a net gain of 3.

I wonder if they've done much work in clearing the track from the 10-foot-high weeds that were there when I walked along it a couple of years ago.

How to get a guaranteed world record

1) Do a full network attempt the day before the new branch opens finishing at Croxley
2) Spend the night in Croxley and catch the first train to Watford Junction
3) Set new world record of 24.5 hours :D

Aren't Guinness likely to set a 'par time' for the new configuration, though?

What did Guinness do last time with T5?

I assume something like the first time within one hour of the previous record?

If Bakerloo runs up to Watford Junction, could see a Watford Junction to Watford High Street route :)
