Watford
As some of you may know I live i Watford (Well those of you who didn't know now).
With the new Met timetable it seems Watford may have become an important station as before you were either really early or really late going to Watford. I am happy to assist anybody who may need to be restocked with supplies at Watford as there is a shop just outside the station. I would also be willing to hold the doors for a few seconds ONLY if it is a 0 minute connection, however I wont hold a door if your train isn't pulling into the station as I would want to get myself in trouble .
The restrictions, well it would have to be a Monday, Tuesday or a Wednesday at this current time, and I'd rather it was before 10pm. But just sent me a PM, facebook message or text and i'd be very happy to help.

Re: Watford
I can just imagine the conversation at Watford between Myles and the station assistant.
"Morning Myles"
"Morning Reg"
"You holding the doors for someone?"
"Yeah, their's a team out there doing quite well"
"Good, good, looks like a good day for it"

Of course... on the subject of Watford, looks like the Croxley link is closer to realisation... Looks like Amersham/Chesham won't be a starting/ending place anymore perhaps...

Re: Watford
They have to build a bridge over a road. No need to call Brunel in for that one ...

Re: Watford
When I lived in Rickmansworth, I drove to Watford one day and took a walk around this old railway line between Watford and Croxley. At one point the rails, still in situ, are completely overgrown by plants eight feet tall. The locals have beaten a one-person-wide path several hundred yards long through them, through the four foot of one of the lines, to serve as a short cut between two housing estates. It's a bit strange walking through that.
I also took a walk around where the old depot used to stand - there are a couple of signal posts still there. I suggest that anyone who wants to get a look at this line before the work commences should get up there as soon as you can, while access is still possible. The trouble is that now funding has been confirmed, they may have started fencing it all off for vegetation clearing.
I've got some photos somewhere ...

Is the plan to reopen Harrow & Wealdstone - Watford Junction on the Bakerloo still active?

Re: Watford
No idea. That idea comes up every now and then. I think it's on the back burner for now.

Re: Watford
Does anyone have any information if Watford LU station will remain open if the Croxley Link opens?
Mind you until a shovel enters the ground don't assume it will be built! (even after work has started it may run out of funding)
