Worst Ever Time

Post by petermiller36 »

Hello all.

It's been almost 4 years since I've posted on here, and then you get 2 posts from me in the same evening. You lucky, lucky people.

My first completed attempt (many moons ago) was a time of 20:01:18. At one point someone created a League Table for all known times for the full challenge, but I can't find that now.

I would LOVE it if my time is still the worst ever. Can anyone dash my dreams and tell me of a worse time?

(incomplete attempts, or ones bridging more than 24 hours don't count  )

Top times for the current configuration (pre & post Wood Lane opening) are here:

So no you don't have the worst ever time, which is 20:53, more details here (despite the headline, if you read more closely he did all 269 stations):

I'm amazed. Finishing at Amersham at 01:52. How late was that service running that day?

He did say he was waiting at Northwick Park for 45 minutes so presumably there was some sort of line blockage and as it was the last train it is easier to run it very late than provide buses/taxis for the passengers.

Well, Ware FC (not Town, but i'll let it pass  ), aren't doing too pretty these days. Relegation zone of Ryman 1 North with no budget at all. Belt tightening this season and then see where we are in the summer.

Good to hear from you mate, great to see you've held the record at some point!

Ooops  You see it's been so long I forgot...... Cheers for that, we would have the record a couple more time had GWR not been complete arses over a Saturday attempt and also a driver taking a long comfort break at T4... Be good to see you sometime if you can make any of the challenges/events....
