All Tube Network Challenge for BBC Children in Need.

Post by taylorit »

I would like to know if anyone is interested in doing a Sponsored All Lines Tube Challenge on Friday 18th November 2005 for BBC Children in Need Appeal.

This would raise a lot of money and give a lot of publicity.

Any Suggestions, comments etc drop a line or post bak here.

Hmm..

I suppose I'd be up for it during the afternoon.. I'm gonna be rather busy that morning and evening, though.

Incidental fact- that's the 18th anniversary of the King's Cross fire.

I know I'm not very well known on here yet, but on Friday 18th November I hope to be in London, and I would love to come along.

I will be in Bedford that weekend fro a Family gathering. We are flying to Luton on the Thursday night, and then on the Friday (18th), nothing is planned, so I was hoping to pop into London on that day anyway (Using either Thameslink to Kings Cross Thameslink or Midland Mainline to St. Pancras).

If this did go ahead, and I am able to come to London on that day, I would love to be a part of it.

So 2005 DID NOT happen, planning now for Friday 17th November 2006 which is BBC Children in Need Appeal Day.

Any Support Staff and more challengers welcome.

Will get some sponsorship forms made up shortly.

If you are interested please email me matt@mattuk.net

Don't get too hyped up about it.

The Waterloo & City will probably still be shut.

Hang on- do you actually mean doing an 'all lines' challenge as in, 'one station on each of the 12 underground lines?'

Or are you talking about doing the whole network?

Whole network

But obviously what is open on the day which will either be the 16th or 17th November.

AHHHHHH.

That explains it, then.

You're talking about an all stations attempt, not an all lines attempt (which, in contrast, takes about an hour. Or 52:01 if you happen to hold the record).

The only problem with doing an all-stations attempt that late in the year is that it'll be sunset just before 4:30pm. That means seven hours' running around London in the dark - which is actually quite demoralising.
