Re: FIRST TIME TUBE CHALLENGER *first post*

Thank you for all of your help! Sometimes it just needs another set of eyes right? Now I can plan my route in more depth If I don't make it to Ken then so be it, I would be happy with 269 on a first attempt! And so you should be (Says me who hasn't done the Full Network Challenge [or any others for...

Re: National Rail challenge?

the sleepers are being used otherwise you have to pay for accomodation You still need to pay for a berth don't you? Otherwise you must be a good sleeper to sleep on a seat night after night! Fair play to you for trying it though - I'd love to but doubt I'll get the chance. i can sleep on seats easi...

Re: Whole tube map challenge

In my view, Battersea Park wouldn't really count but there's a Southern service that you could take anyway. No, the Southern service wouldn't count. It goes from Clapham Junction so it doesn't meet the "same rails" criteria. You have to take a service from Wandsworth Road to Battersea Park (or vice...

Re: Mornington Crescent

Why don't we get back to the topic (if you remember it was a game of Mornington Cresent). What was the last valid station (I think it was Stratford High Street). Could someone (tubeguru maybe) please clarify the last valid station.

Re: Whole tube map challenge

Could be of some use if you did it Friday/Saturday and postponed Olympia to Saturday morning. Also, one needs to consider the Battersea Park dilemma, because that restricts your Friday routes. But then it's not on the map... In my view, Battersea Park wouldn't really count but there's a Southern se...

Re: Alphabet on a line

In order of least interesting to most interesting at first glance: - Waterloo and City (this challenge a few of us have done by complete accident) - Victoria (only interchanges that could possibly interest anyone are H&I and Stockwell, this is incredibly dull up and down work) - Bakerloo (I predict...

Re: Whole tube map challenge

I think the rule is they only show services that are likely to actually be useful to people, not services that are only run for operational convenience. If Olympia was only served by the six trains early in the morning, it probably wouldn't be on the tube map at all. It is only there because of the...

The first train to T4 runs late quite often so you can miss the train down to T5 which will throw out your plans so that's worth having a back up for too
Try Richmond Branch though I can't be sure if that would work.
