Re: The latest COVID-19 guidance

If the Drain is not due to reopen for a while is there as 10 line all line record up for grabs? Sent from my SM-A530F using Tapatalk Almost certainly to be considered be a "temporary closure" and therefore a bus replacement service (even if one isn't specifically inaugurated for the purpose as an e...

Re: The latest COVID-19 guidance

My opinion on this is that the time is not yet right for any sort of group challenging, even if the current guidelines do technically permit it. If someone wants to do an individual challenge or a challenge in a pair / small team that that is probably OK. However, anyone who did decide to go out on ...

Re: All Tube Challenge - The return of a mad idea

Based on what the participants of last year's effort looked like the following day a few suggestions... - Do not do a parkrun the following morning. - Do not follow up the challenge (especially if doing a parkrun already) with a R15. - If you absolutely must do a R15 following this challenge and a p...

Re: Zone 1 Challenge Cup 2020

I think that it is fairly clear that this year's event should be cancelled. Although the rules for lockdown have recently had a tiny level of relaxation they in no way support a group of people meeting up, let alone that gathering meaning rushing around on public transport. There would also be no wa...

Re: Random 15 Championship 2019/20: Round 4

Unfortunate that it has come to this, however I fully agree that cancellation is the best option. Who knows what lies ahead for the world over the next few weeks and months but I have no doubt that we will all see each other soon.

Good luck. Travel safe!

Spoons is normally starting somewhere between 10:00 and 10:30 depending on Parkrun participants and distance to travel from finish.

Re: Random 15 Championship 2019/20: Round 4

I'll turn up for the R15. Solo this time I think though!
Parkrun... Yes, but will choose a location based on where others are going.
Spoons... A necessity after Parkrun, but location dependent.

I’m here at Birmingham New Street until 19:45. Curry is at Manzil’s at 20:00.
This was just a convoluted excuse to go for a curry. Tasty curry!

I think I may have broken one record today - 2h22 from start station to second station in a R15!
Saw you at Leamington Spa. I did shout but you didn't hear me.

Route v1 planned. Predicted finish time classified for now.

(although subsequently revised due to accidentally going back in time by an hour at one point...)

Re: Birmingham R15

Peaky Blinders Top Tip: Most lines in Birmingham have 15-30 min frequency. But Stratford-on-Avon stoppers and Coventry-Leamington Spa via Kenilworth are only hourly. Even worse are Chiltern’s Stratford-On-Avon-Leamington Spa trains, which are every two hours, so you will need to plan the south-east...
