I know this is slightly O.T. but can I put my irritation at LU's line status information on the record. What exactly is a "good" service? Oh, and another tip - when visiting the (technically) two stations at Paddington try to go Hammersmith & City >>> Bakerloo rather than the other way round. Having to (almost inevitably) change at Edgware Rd when travelling east from Paddington is a pain in the proverbial...

And if you're changing on an "Island", your walking-between-platforms time will be significantly lower. If you're changing at Westminster on the other hand... In other words, try not to change at stations like that if you can possibly manage it :) Personally I have a soft-spot for the cross-platfor...

tubeguru you are evidently the nicest and most forgiving person I have ever seen :D respect

Personally I just hold grudges - they weigh you down a bit but its a lot less effort than being kind and giving people second chances :x

A small observation here that proves that the challenge is actually taking place in London Below (take GREAT care when alighting at the Angel Islington people). Normally, on any given challenge there are too many "Ian"s. This time, looking at the attendance list, there are too many "Peter"s.... :sho...

:x Well now I look a complete fool - why do I always think that it's *inside* the circle?? Perhaps it *is* in Zone 1 in London Below, and I know I've been there once or twice on those strange, late night journeys you have sometimes... spooky  You know, those nights when the lights are all fli...

Oh, and A2, I am also getting the train to Brum from Euston at 7:10pm so you won't be on your own  And something else - for the team that I join, please appreciate that I have *never* been to Kensington Olympia station, and I have no intention of visiting it next Friday... the tube has to reta...

Two Things

Right I know I'm a late entrant but Annie only just mentioned the Zone 1 Challenge on her blog! I don't have any ideas about a route (and given how long it took me to work one up for last years full challenge... I won't have time to think about it sufficiently between now and next Friday) so ...
