Re: Christmas Park Challenge 2018 - 15th December - Finsbury Park

You'd have thought that tufnellpark would have done a Parks Challenge but no this will be my first attempt. I may even get an unreliable 4 bus to the start at Finsbury Park just for old time's sake. I have a couple of questions on photographing station names. Hyde Park Corner doesn't seem to have i...

Re: Random 15 Championship 2018/19: Round 2

9th: Michael Churchill: 14 stations completed in 06:00:20 at Drayton Park I'm a little confused by this one - how, given a 6 hour time limit, has a time outside of this limit been accepted? Or was a dispensation given for its closeness to the limit? Doesn't impact me in the slightest, but just foun...

It's entirely up to you how you go about visiting all the stations including the Heathrow section :P What are your thoughts?

Re: Christmas Park Challenge 2018 - 15th December - Finsbury Park

I note from the TfL Journey Planner that services on the GOBLIN are showing with the warning: "LONDON OVERGROUND: Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 December, a reduced service will operate between Gospel Oak and Barking, with trains operating every 15 to 45 minutes." Yet both on the Journey Planner and also...

Re: First Attempt 04/01/19

You don't need to start your stopwatch on the first train you take of the day, just when you want to start the attempt. So, assuming you're doing Heathrow to begin with, you don't need to start your stopwatch until you depart Terminal 4, since you'll be going back through Hatton Cross anyway. Which...

Re: Christmas Park Challenge 2018 - 15th December - Finsbury Park

You MUST depart from Finsbury Park on LU this is nominated starting Station Is this true? I know it was an exceptional set of circumstances, but the Tufnell Park challenge start simply required a photo of the exterior and a subsequent pass through. If the argument is going to be made that it was cl...

I think that a local journo would probably be viewed as having something to gain from doing the timekeeping (I.e. a news story), and would therefore not be considered independent

Re: The Kings Cross - Waterloo challenge

The one-change routes are mostly fairly sensible but it beats me why anyone would have done a route involving more than one change (especially considering that going between two major main line stations they are likely to have luggage with them). Perhaps these were routes taken on weekends where en...

To be honest, I'm not sure that Guinness will be losing any sleep if there were to be no further "Fastest time to visit....underground stations" forevermore.

I thought that here would be as good a place as any to quote, in full, the appeal rejection email that I have just received from GWR in regards to mine and Andi's Berlin attempt: Thank you for submitting the appeal of your records decision to Guinness World Records. After a full Records Management T...
