Re: Zone 1 2010 with Tangy

Do people think that I would be able to stay for the results announcement and make a train away at 18:30 from Marylebone? (I'm thinking of doing this - using Wrexham & Shropshire because it is the cheapest way - but the last train is at 18:30. I did consider Virgin trains to Euston but I would have...

Re: Random 15 Championship 2009/10 League Table

I hate to clog up the forum with stuff that has undoubtedly been discussed before - but, remind me what the joker is?

Thanks

Re: Settle an argument for me please?

But he said that 1 was optimum, and 30 would be the worst? So it's double-bluffing us :p I don't think the answers need inverting though.

I agree with what's been said - getting worse over the entire period, but better at the moment relative to the 'immediate past'.

Re: wikipedia provisional or not only records.?

How do you know what the 'right' time is? Or has he been on here at some point and said? I've found this all quite hard to follow... The 2 times in question are 17h 12m 18s by Jay Flynn (bouncingtigger) and some put Tim Roberts and Martha Jackson claim under this time of 17h 12m 18s instead of pres...

Re: wikipedia provisional or not only records.?

I don't get it - surely anyone is entitled to claim a GWR without the involvement of this forum?

Just let him keep his time up. It's not a current record anyway.

Re: Regular TCDL Darts Sessions - Starting 23rd March

Kevin is not invincible, there have been at least two sessions that he has not top scored. Most recently after the R15 Ryan was top scorer that evening, and when we had the darts saturday it was "yours truely" (aka myself) that top scored. He'd still win 9/10 (against me anyway)! Not so, you have a...

Re: Zone 1 2010 : Rules & Registration

Without reading through the entire thread again to double check my facts, I don't think anyone is disputing the interpretation of the Guinness Rule, we seem to all accept that on a full network attempt you *have* to finish on an arriving train. I would just say that Guinness ought to reconsider that...

Re: Zone 1 2010 : Rules & Registration

I have to say I agree with Geoff on the logic here - it's something I've often considered myself - but I think for the sake of keeping the rules 'as per GWR' we should continue to say that you have to travel on to the next station and end there. However, if I were to write the rules for GWR I would ...

Oddly, that one doesn't happen for me - it gives me the route to the circle line station.

Re: Journey planner - very annoying is it just me?

Hmm... I go back with the back button (or backspace, or Alt+Left, or whatever other shortcuts also do it) then it remembers the date. If you've had to choose from a list of stations you'll have to go back through that as well, but it's easier than putting the date in again. That's the best solution ...

Re: Personal preference

I went to Kentish Town first and looked at the map on the bus stop for buses to Holloway Road and there weren't any on the map! Even in the alphabetised list of destinations it wasn't listed, so I assumed there weren't any.

It seems that there is one, but I'm quite surprised it wasn't shown.
