there are a number of hotels around the Excel (and one near the O2), so it is quite possible that people attending late night concerts at the O2 may be staying in a hotel near Excel and use the cable car to get there.
Doesn't the cable car stop at 9pm?

Re: Kensington olympia new regular service?

Now would be the perfect time less people less delays less chance of infection You say less people, but I had a go at one of the "alternative" challenges a few days ago and had to stand for a good chunk of Jubilee line because it was so busy. There was also a service interval of >4 minutes on the N...

Re: Top Times - DLR Challenge

I tried the DLR challenge again on Friday (I mean I've actually been trying it at least once a fortnight all year, but I'm only going to post about it if I improve my time) and achieved a time of 1:56:33, my first time breaking the two hour mark. Didn't really face any issues, other than being stopp...

Re: DC's DC

As one of those who beat your original time (and am still ahead of your new time) I think the 474 is a risky strategy. A bus which runs only five times an hour, and which can take 20 minutes to get to Beckton if the traffic's bad, could kill your attempt dead. You're right that it is never faster to...

Re: Top Times - DLR Challenge

Given that there are only really two routes (4 if you do them the other way round!) with minor variations around Bank/Tower Gateway, you've now got me wondering if you've discovered something truly radical.... Rob used my route (albeit doing Bank and Tower Gateway the other way around to me), which...

I had a go at it today.

...but I was way off, and can't see how 1h45 is going to be beaten.

Re: Iain's Tram Trials and Tribulations

I had my first attempt at the tram challenge today. It was all going well until I misread the DMI at Elmers End, then got lost running to BJ. Ended up with a 2:07, but now that I know where I'm going I know I can comfortably take 15-20 minutes off that. And I've thought of a different route that may...
