Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...

Joined GU, SD and Iain at Bushy Park this morning. Cold, but a glorious morning for a parkrun. I knew I had a quick run in me but crossing the line to see I had done a 22:43, 1 MINUTE and 6 seconds quicker than my previous PB, I was ecstatic! I can also see why so many people flock to Bushy, it real...

Re: Birmingham R15

I have now created a link to a pack with contains a "tube-style" map I created and timetables which cover all routes and stations which could come out. Let me know if anyone has any issues accessing it -

Re: Christmas Park Challenge 2019 - 14th December - Chiswick Park

My Parks Challenge went much better than last year (mind you doing it blindfolded hopping on one leg would have been more successful than last year!) but I still had my usual dose of bad luck going round. There were some positives this year including much better weather (bit windy but predominantly ...

Re: Christmas Park Challenge 2019 - 14th December - Chiswick Park

My first Parks challenge and I knew it was never going to be a good time cos of needing to be in Hammersmith by 17.30. In the end managed 22 stations in 8 hours 3 mins (missing out Park Royal and Ravenscourt Park). I saw Rob at Chiswick Park at 9.00, but surprised that I didn't see anyone heading i...

Hi Tangy, any news on the results from this event please?
I remember him saying that he was waiting for his laptop to be repaired and the forum website doesn't work on his iPad, hence the delay.

Re: Zones 7-15

I remember that after the Cannon Street Run there was some discussion as to whether Reading, Twyford and Maidenhead should be included in the SLAM challenge once the Elizabeth Line services go live, as they are all south of the Thames. I can't remember what the outcome of this discussion was - can ...

Re: Tube Challenge parkrun league...

Ended up back at Southwark as Kev couldn't make Bexley, ended up with a new PB of 23:49 which I'm dead chuffed about. The training I've done this week has paid off and I think I can go a little bit quicker still. Still love Southwark and I've set 2 PBs there so will be returning at some point :D

Re: Another proposed attempt

Question: does anyone know whether the Central Line timetable has been changed in the last week or so? The reason I ask is that there always used to be a 8:55am train departing from Epping towards central London, but this seems to have disappeared from the timetables in the last few days. Could it ...

Re: Random 15 Championship 2019/20: Round 1

Bricklayers Arms is fine with me. I don’t think a pub in Droitwich should influence our decision. OBB (best bitter) is good and very good value for London. I’m surprised cider is so expensive. You get a room for darts and results and an office for Tangy. Location makes it easy to get to from any R1...
