Re: London Bus 24

1) Must the buses be done in numerical order? 2) I assume the complete route must be travelled rather than just one stop (otherwise it's just a fairly simple scaled down version of All The Buses!). Do return journeys have to be done on each route, or is only a single journey needed? If the latter, ...

Re: London Bus 24

A very long Sunday 12th Jan spent riding red London buses. 15/24 routes completed, 140 miles in 18 hours and 25 mins. Started on #21 from Lewisham at 04:35 and finished on #3 at Crystal Palace at 23:00. Lost one hour during the day due to a very slow #11, an early departure #4 😠and a missing #1 at C...

Should that be @BusesOnthe?
Yes indeed. When I set up my account for my bus journeys, Twitter accepted the name but unhelpfully changed it to @BusesOnthe - still confuses me.

London Bus 24

On Sunday 12th Jan, I am trying to complete London bus routes 1-24 in 24 hours, using an Oyster bus cap of £4.50, covering 225 miles and 1200 bus stops. Start 04:30 but can I finish in time? Follow my bus journey @BusesOnthe

Re: Richie Firth does the Overground Challenge

I had an email from Chris Skinner and Richie Firth "Travel Hacker" about an attempt for the Overground Challenge which he did in 10:41:00. They made a series of podcasts about this attempt and how they hope to set a new world record. The interesting podcasts can be heard here: Part 1: https://audio...

It’s an honour to have a station named after me, in recognition of my tube challenge achievements!

Knock 1.5 hours off the time, visit Battersea Park and you might get close to the current Overground record!

Re: Birmingham R15

Will you include Bordesley in the draw? While it does have one train on Saturdays, if it was selected in the list, it would probably mean everyone having very similar routes. Thanks for the question. Sat Feb 22nd is a Birmingham City home game, so Bordesley has an enhanced Saturday service of 12 tr...

Re: Birmingham R15

I'm interested. Is there a full list of stations - the website isn't very clear. It looks like the ticket is only valid as far as Kidderminster, not Worcester? Is the Redditch line included? You're right, the Network West Midlands website is poor. R15 station list will include Hartlebury, Droitwich...

I'm interested. Will commence negotiations with the wife when it is a bit more certain to happen :)
You don't have to bring her along. You can come on your own if you want! :D
