Re: Cannon Street Run XIV - Ye Olde Bilge Mouse - Thursday 19th Sept

Well, that was an excellent evening (apart from a slight hold-up at Hayes on the way in and the usual 'good service' on the Circle Line, which between hem meant I didn't even get to Cannon Street until 18:40. Other than that, no major issues in the run and my dodgy ankle held up (the test will be to...

Re: Top Times: UK light rail

I have to say I'm guilty of overusing acronyms in my own notes when route planning, which has led to confusion between Westbourne Park and Wembley Park, between Walthamstow Central and White City, and even between Leytonstone High Road and Heathrow Airport!

Re: Random 15 Championship 2019/20: Round 1

I guess that means I'll have to pick up another London Connections map from the station, and redo all my annotations showing engineering works and river crossings!

Still, having the District available will simplify the challenge by bringing the stations along the north bank into play.

Generator failure?

I seem to be having something strange happening with the R15 generator - has anyone else experienced this? I click 'Start Here', then on the next screen, select Underground, DLR, Overground, National Rail, TfL Rail. Select Zones 1 & 2 Click 'Continue' Select 'Waterloo (LU)' Click Continue Now sudden...

Re: Random 15 Championship 2019/20: Dates

On another note - I'm just wondering - would it be possible to add a feature to the R15 generator sometime to enable a list of excluded stations to be excluded from a spreadsheet? I like to run the generator a few times in advance of an R15 to try out different permutations and the list of stations ...

Re: Recce runs

I suppose witness statements would prove that you were on the trains at the specified times, and you hadn't done any clever editing/manipulating of dates/times on the GoPros to create the video. As pay solicitors to attend the start/finish, you might as well pay an official Guinness judge to do that...

Yes, 1 or 6 (more likely 6) would be the one most likely to be affected by warm weather.

Warm Weather Twist?

Yesterday's Challenge was held on the warmest day of the year so far, and whilst it wasn't as hot on the deep lines as I was expecting (probably because it was the first warm day so the heat hadn't had chance to build up), I think quite a few of us felt afterwards we wouldn't have liked it to be any...
